Munnar hills is situated at an altitude of 5000 to 8000 Ft above sea level. This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.

Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi , which has a height of over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking. The high ranges of Munnar were earlier known as Kannan Devan Hills. The main cultivation crops in Munnar are Tea and Coffee.
